Quick update. :D As of the 8th of July 2010, will finally get my degree! My second semester results came in on the 26th June:
Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics: 59% (D'OH!)
Astrophysics: 65%
So erm... I actually bombed both exams rather badly, but in Astro other must have bombed worse than me for things to be weighted in my favour. Anyways! Regardless, I managed to obtain 71.[something]%, which is above the required 70% barrier needed for the classification of First. Sooooo... this means that I get MSci (1st Hons) Physics with Astrophysics.

I just found out that I am one of only nine students taking the Masters degree in the entire third-year Physics department. And at least two aren't Astrophysics.
It made for a very sparse lecture theatre during Professional Skills, which is a class only MSci students take.
In other news I just discovered my favourite character in D.Gray Man shares the same birthday as me. Woohoo! :D

For some odd reason, things haven't really been going my way for the past two days. I'm displaying all the symptoms of being stoned, but all caused by different things. For one thing, which grieves me greatly, food, my greatest love, has turned against me. DD8
Oh yeah. Also, continuing my outstanding record as the number one space cadet I know of, today I got on the wrong underground train three times. And yes, I knew where I was supposed to be going and how to get there on my own and also had done it MANY MANY MANY times before. Thank god it only charges you once you beep out of the transport areas. If it charged you per journey I would have been stranded. Dunno what happened to my mind, but it was very much vacant today.

It's taken me a while and I apologise for that, but my 5 days in the city of Osaka honestly ranked among the best in my life and I did not want to take them lightly. In that short amount of time, Osaka managed to change my current target city from Tokyo to itself and took my heart hostage along the way. It doesn't seem inclined to release it anytime soon.
I met people. People whom until that moment I had only known on LJ. People whom I have a feeling will be intertwined with my life from now onwards and for the unforseeable future. People whom I would be honoured to call my friends, perhaps even family, and whom are as insane as me (and that's saying a lot). I finally met Nanani. Dearest Nanani, the only Chocobo capable of flight I know, and without whom this trip would not have been possible. Nanani who lent this Phoenix her nest for 5 days and whom bent backwards to show me a good time in her city. She succeeded beyond anything I could have hoped for.
But that's enough of the melodramatic twaddle. It's better to get straight to my memories of my stay in Osaka. Not much happened during the first day but it remains vivid nevertheless. It may be full of meaningless unimportant facts, but those are to me what made the trip so personal.
I met people. People whom until that moment I had only known on LJ. People whom I have a feeling will be intertwined with my life from now onwards and for the unforseeable future.
