eucleia | Yesterday's Today

Yesterday (Friday) I went back to my home town (technically a capital city but that spoils the endearment/term), and I'm still surprised by how much has stayed the same, and also conversely what has changed. As always, it still remains more cosmopolitan than the capital I live in now...
People. People, people everywhere. One wonders why I love Japanese cities so much when I always feel vaguely claustrophobic and trapped when in the midst of so many people. I guess... I go to these places so that I can escape elsewhere when it all becomes too much. I also love modern buildings and technology but I guess that's not the point... If I lived in the "escape" I'd have nowhere else to run. But cities and densely packed human populations, well - the best place to hide is where there are most people, after all. I suppose I also live in cities (aside from modern amenities being readily available) to watch the others, if only to remind myself not to fall into their same fates.

Some I think would call me cowardly for escaping or running away. Hmm... well you could call it that I suppose; but it's not as if I'm going to never come back. I'd miss "my life" too much. : )
But sometimes you just need to get away from it all. It's why I learnt how to drive; why I consider my car one of my greatest friends. A quiet night and a moment spent in silence running your palm slowly over the body of the steering wheel before a gentle smile breaks upon your face. "Take me away from this..."
What is "this"? I don't know. But it [my car] takes me away from it. If only for a little while.

But now I turn my attention to one person only. You know who you are. I promise I'll take you there one day. "Pack a bag. We're leaving. Now." I promise you that much at least, even if it might take a little while longer. Give me a few more years.
Who said we couldn't run away? If only for a weekend. :3

But right now, my head is hurtng me VERY BADY from sleep dep., and my left leg is aching. So I'll leave it at that, and go to sleep. Oh and the point of this post? Well, in summary:
- I have the tickets. :)
- I lift off 03 June.
- I arrive in HK on the 04th.
- I won't be making the 04th plane to Japan; will still be In the Air when it takes off. :P
- So I'll be arriving on the 05th at KIX. Mostly likely around 1930 - 2000.
- I leave for HK on the 10th.

- I bought you a present. ^__^
- It's from my trip back to my home town.
- I just kinda stared at the price before blinking and paying for it before I'd even realised I'd reached my hand out. It's quite beautiful, even if I do say so myself. ^________^ I'll be rash here and say "I'm sure you'll like it".
