Day 01 - Your favorite song

Now this is Tatakau Monotachi from Final Fantasy VII. This piece is mostly fast-paced, but there are occasional temporary slower paced bits, and I ADORE the smooth transitioning decrescendos and crescendos. This is the type of song you should listen to loudly with surrond sound speakers. :D I nearly always get musicgasms if I listen to it in high enough quality.

There's also a live piano version of this piece, which I already recced sometime earlier on my journal here. It's a pretty damned difficult piece to play, and this guy is more than impressive.

Ooo that song - I really love the piano version of this song (I prefer Jenova, but that's another story for another day, and only by a little bit). After level-grinding in FFVII I wasn't so sure of the original version (I have a tendency to hate battle songs due to my grinding habits), but I somehow still like this version. I totally agree with what you say about this song :D.

I love Jenova as well - it's so fast and furious I originally thought it was a four-hand piece. XD It's a little too repetative for me though, and it doesn't change all that much, unlike the dynamics of Tatakau Monotachi.

EWWW level grinding. I didn't level-grind at all in FFVII (though spent inordinate amounts of time catching, racing and breeding chocobos though :D - my favourite was a blue female called Azure, she was stock for all my other chocobos). I did plenty in FFVIII though!
